The setup
You're solo, six miles from the trailhead. You round a bend and step into an open meadow. Forty yards ahead — a sow grizzly with two cubs. She's already seen you.
Adaptive mode
Score multipliers rise with your accuracy. The decision window tightens after every recommended call and widens after every miss. Miss the window and the step scores zero.

- • ≥75% accuracy → ×1.5 score
- • 25–49% accuracy → ×1.0 score
- • 50–74% accuracy → ×1.2 score
- • <25% accuracy → ×0.75 (soft landing)
